Green Power
We
are proud of the green direction that the power industry is headed
and Kortick is helping to drive towards these goals. As green power is
becoming a more viable option, we look forward to aiding in green power
transmission. We are very proud of the work we did at the AT&T
ballpark, home of the Giants. We were in charge of outfitting the
Giant's baseball stadium with Solar Panels and look forward to
continuing our involvement in these projects.

Kortick has also been looking internally for
improvements and began
working toward becoming certified green business about two years
ago.
On October 30,2009, it became official: Kortick Manufacturing
became
the second manufacturing company in the Bay Area to become a certified
green business. We have worked with
numerous utilities on plans to reduce our footprint through
manufacturing methods and materials. Some of our more notable
improvements include improving our automobile fleets mileage by over
200%, reducing energy consumption by 40% through a period of rapid
growth. We've also reduced office waste, improved our
manufacturing
processes and developed green friendly industry products.
It's nice to know that these efforts did not go
unnoticed. Our recycling caught the attention of our home city
Hayward, CA. Kortick
has
been awarded the 2010 Environmental
Achievement Award to be presented by the City Council of Hayward,
CA. Vera
Dahle-Lacaze
of
Hayward said of Kortick, "We
would like to commend your business for its notable efforts to preserve
and
enhance the business community and natural environment."
We are proud of it and hope this to be the first of many awards as we
continue to work and improve.
